A few years back, I discovered one of Springfield’s best-kept secrets. Fun Acre is what I consider an “old-school” miniature golf course. While many newer places offer sleek and seemingly uncluttered courses, Fun Acre has the more traditional “obstacles.” These include such things as windmills, rising and falling bowling pins, and so much more. Personally, I find the newer miniature golf courses utterly boring and plain, yet more expensive. Fun Acre is one of the cheapest frills in Springfield. Yesterday, I invited my two nephews to join me in an 18-hole game. The grand total for ALL of us to play, was a surprisingly low 4 bucks! Adults can play for only $2, while children ages 5-11 play for $1, and children under 5 are free. Honestly, there aren’t very many places in Springfield where 3 people can be entertained for only $4. My nephews have played on several different mini golf places in the Kansas City and Springfield areas, including many newer ones. Fun Acre was their favorite by far!

Fun Acre is located at 2800 S. Campbell, just behind the Old Town Shopping Center/ Ozark Treasure’s Flea Market. They offer batting cages as well!
